it really didn't rock anything this time of year...

So it’s totally passed the event, sue me! Any ways… it seems that many Apple fans (myself included) were very disappointed by this event. Yes, Apple did give us some new iDevices to buy with our blood-money, but they delivered in the worst way… like when you were a kid going downstairs to see what you got for Christmas, you see Santa Clause banging your mother… without eating any of the damn cookies! Many rumors were going around that Apple would stop production of all current gen iDevices and replace all of them with new ones filled with cameras because cameras are appearing all over the handheld market. Instead, we only get one new iPod with a camera… and guess who got it? The iPod Nano. Seriously? I think most of (well, technically anyone who knows who Steve Jobs is) us thought that if one iPod was gonna get a camera, it was gonna be the iPod Touch.

look at the pretty colors! AND CAMERAS... oh wait, its the nano

look at the pretty colors! AND CAMERAS... oh wait, it's the nano

On the plus side though, the iPod Touch 3G was built with the guts of his cellular brother, the iPhone 3GS, which begs the ask: do we call this model the iPod Touch 3GS? Oh, did I mention you had to get the 32gb and 64gb to get the 3GS engine… which cost you $299 or $399. Did I forget to mention that those models get Voice Control? Yeah, wasn’t exciting to hear on my end either. The reason why there wasn’t a camera built in the iPod Touch 3g was because Jobs “wanted the device to be  for  gaming and drop the prices so that every one can get one,” which translates to “the cameras went all screwy on us at the last minute, so we decided to pull it out of production.” What a let-down Apple, this is really gonna hurt your game… especially when the iPod Touch 3G will get jailbroken, thus leading to bigger and better third-party apps brought to you by Cydia.

This is all news and one’s own opinion on the matter, so what do you guys think? Did Apple deliver, or did they rip out your souls so that Steve Jobs shall one day remake Apple into Skynet?

I NEEDZ RO BE FREEZ

all iPhones have the right to be set free111

Wow… still more on the iPhones (darn you Steve Jobs!!! Darn you to hell!). Anywho, we all know what jailbreaking is, if you don’t… then you got either don’t have an iProduct or just don’t want to hurt Steve Job’s feelings. Well, jailbreaking is the process when a person hacks into the iPhone and…how do I say it… loosens the  grip from Apple and is able to download 3rd party applications (for example: emulators, games, system tweaks, etc.) to the iPhone whether it be free or paid for.

Apple sees this as a major threat. So in response (mainly because of piracy reasons) they want jailbreaking to become illegal. They also said something about terrorists able to make apps to… terrorize America? WTF???

Thankfully for us hackers and free-loaders out there (myself included) there is a group of people out there who are willing to stand up against Apple in the fight for FREEDOOOMMMM!!!…ehem… Those people are the EFF or Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Hey, at least you can AFFORD this one

More from the iPhone-iverse, it’s currently leaked that Rogers  has launched an iPhone 3GS that has 8gb of memory. You might say that it isn’t a big deal… until you read the next sentence. Even though you get less memory on the “Jesus phone” , what you do get is a lower price… that’s right dear reader, you get a robot-spanking new iPhone 3GS  for the low price of $199 (plus a contract)!!! Yeah, you ain’t dreaming. So if you’re under Rogers and you still don’t have a 3GS, you’d better get your hands on one before they sell out quick.

We all know that the iPhone (and the current model: the 3GS) is a smart phone sent from heaven… but nowadays it doesn’t seem that way. With all these problems (read: Apple pulling Google Voice off the Appstore and the many “adult content” recently removed) arising what seems to be a horride partnership… it seems the iPhone will soon fall off it’s high horse… to say if it can ride a horse anyways. Then again, there might be an app for that.

Seven (More) Reasons to Ditch Your iPhone [Xsellize]

So we all have (or at least) seen one or two of Microsoft’s new commercials… you know, the one where they take “random” people and give away $1000 dollars if they can find a pc laptop for less or equal to $1000. You may think this is harmless… but there is a catch, the “laptop hunters” actually bash on how expesive the Mac is and find a “better and more affordable” laptop. Yeah, Apple doesn’t seem to like these commercials at all and are demanding Microsoft to stop… are they serious? I mean Apple has been making commercials which plain out diss the pc and Microsoft didn’t say a thing… but they did through commercial.

I say Microsoft wins in the “who is the bigger man” contest between the two.

Here’s one example of both Microsoft’s and Apple’s bashing on each other through their commercials.
